Molting Hermit

Anyone have any idea how often hermit crabs molt and when I should get some new homes for them?

Depends on how much they Eat...

I had seen mine molt at least once a month, until we got the Snowflake Moray.

I got mine 2 weeks ago and a few of them have finished molting today, within a few days of each other. I saw the shell but couldn't find the hermit and a thought he died...but when I got home today he was sitting on the top of the rock munching away at algae.

cool...when should I give them some new shells to call home? Ive had them for about 2 months in their current shells

We just kept some odd and end shells in the tank.. They took one when they wanted. Less to figure out that way.
