Moon lighting

Hey guys I was just wondering if you could tell me the benefits of have moon lighting and if it is something you turn on at night or what? Thanks!

moon light is basically for your benefit so you can see stuff when the lights are off the fish get no benefit really

What about for your corals and anemones does it do anything for them?

there isnt really enough light on those moon lights to have any benefits for your corals but their good for night viewing no harm in using them or anything

It was thought to stimulate coral spawning, but at least for the moonlights we use at home it does nothing but allow you to see into your tank at night

i've read that moonlights help to promote spawning of fish and inverts, but how true that is i have no clue
