Anybody using moonlight LEDs for their tank at night.

I really enjoy viewing my tank and wondering if any can suggest some moonlight lights. I was bulk reef supply and found some for $10 and went back and they were gone.

Really looking for a purple color?

Found some on amazon and $30. Seemed over priced for a simple light.

You can try an auto parts store. They sell all kinds of LED strips. Pretty cheap. My light fixture has them built in. I choose not to use them. I'm in bed by 9-9:30 so no need for the moonlights on for me.

My lights are on a timer, they come on at 3:30pm for when I'm coming home from work.

To each there own. I do think they need a total darkness state at some point.

I do use the automotive led strips. I convert them from 12volts to 120volts using a old converter from a playstation. You could use any converter as long as it is anywhere from 10 to 14 volts.
