I have some algae on one piece of rock and would like to propagate it throughout the tank. Is there any way to attach a piece of algae to other pieces of rock in the tank? BTW its Sargassum.

Well left unchecked it will spread provided it is happy with your water and lighting. Sargassum can spread and create a mess in a tank. Most types of macro algae are too aggressive for our tanks. You will find that most people try and keep macro out of their display.

Yeah, I have noticed it grows very quickly. But I keep it cut back. I just think that the algae gives the rock a more natural look.
