Mud or Aragonite Sand?

Hi Guys
Now that my sump/fuge is finished what should I use for a substrate in the fuge, Mud or Sand? I was planning on using a 5" base of aragonite sand.

If you use miracle mud then you`ll need to cover it with sand. Cant just put mud there. I`ll tell you though I used mud in my fuge covered by sand and if I had to do it all over I would not add the mud. Dont see where it did any good. JMO

Thanks Mike, I don't even know what the actual purpose of the mud is but I see it everywhere. I think I'll just get some Sand and just forget the mud thing.
