Murky water

I finally set up my 120 gallon tank with 120 pounds of sand and 100 pounds of base rock and filled it up about 3/4 way as i plan to add 59 more pounds of liverock this week. Anways i added ro di water and put on the filter and i sill have murky water its been filtering for about a day any ideas?

depending on how you added the sand and if it was washed it can take a few days to clear up.

Sounds good it is getting better everytime i look at it i guess i need to be patient

Flow and filtration are the key to success. I'd suggest adding sand first and tossing a bag ontop of it before pouring in the water to avoid this in the future.

Oh yeah and turn off pumps if possible, or it wears them faster
