25% PWC

Ammonia 0
Nitrites .10 (both tester right after water change)

9PM Friday (100 hours since stocking and 4 hours since PWC)

Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 10

9AM Saturday


8PM Sunday


I'm ready for more fish!!!

Congrats! It's so nice to have a cycled tank and know that all of your other tanks will be much easier to set up in the future.

10g Heavily planted - 1 mating pair of Apistogramma Cacatuoides "Orangeflash" and a whole lot of MTS

Yup, it does work. If, as Joannde pointed out, it is handled properly. That includes keeping it cold on the way home and not adding it to the tank untill you add fish or ammonia. The lil critters need something to eat. And I believe I read that the bacteria we are dealing with double their numbers in somethin like 10 to maybe 24 hours. Depending. lol Good luck with the Bio Spira!! I, like others here, have had nothing but succes with it.

So far I'm 2 for 2 with it - love the stuff !

35G barebottom: 2 boesemani rainbowfish, 4 congo tetras, Low light plants (1.5wpg) attached to or planted in my own handmade ceramics - Anubia v Nana, Anubia v Barteri, Red Rubin Sword
2.5G - Spot (beautiful betta - Soft pink with red spots on his fins. Java Moss.
