Officially month 9!!! No tank crash. I've lost a couple corals since the beginning 95% due to impulse buys. And not doing proper research.
It will happen again most likely lol.
I've gotten a monti cap from a friend on Instagram for $5!!!

Gonio died last month. I pulled it out and bleached it. It's now a nice little shelf nic nak of all the corals I've killed.
On te bright side. I feed meaty foods to my clown and flame angel. So I've got plenty of spaghetti worms around my reef. I've figured out that if I snatch up the tentacles while they're extended. It makes a nice snack for my favia. Haha. It gobbles them up. So does the candy cane. Trying to get a positive id on a polyp mouth on my chalice. No luck yet

Well. I don't purchase from LFS it's from a water machine like they have at walmart. I think the filters just need maintenance on te machine
I have skylights in out house so there's plenty of light during daylight hours

Get a tds meter they are cheap and you can test the water to be sure it is not the cause of your diatoms. You want 0 tds. I just bought a ro buddy and it works okay I get a consistent 0.03 on my tds meter which some say is unacceptable but my lfs said a reading of up to 0.20 is acceptable but no more. Tds meter was like 13 dollars at My lfs.
