Dang, I have a lot of things to say tonight.. lol, I'm sorry.

Re: the microbubbles.. also, it will help a little bit to face the water intake section of your pump away from the water falling from the pvc pipes, if you don't have it this way already. This way less bubbles get into the pump.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

Haha that shouldn't be a problem, I'm obsessed with this tank and fish, my womans about to disown me because I spend all day either talking or tinkering with it somehow. Ans scottayy, I do have a single 1" pvc pipe that does empty into the return bin, its emptying right behind the pump, as the sponge filter is on the other side, should I try turning it 180 and making it come out on the other side?

Ok just letting everyone know that I've had my name changed, I felt that using my gamer name, negligent-inmate, was a good idea turns out that some people were getting the wrong idea, therefore my name has been changed to reflect my favorite fish that I now proudly own, a huma-huma trigger fish

Yeah, screennames don't mean anything to me anymore since i've seen so many of them. It's just a recognition to remember people by (like a name, duh!).

But, yeah it wasn't a good one LOL. Like the new one too

Any work on those bubbles?

Thank you thank you and no I haven't gotten any work done on the bubbles had a spill at work so its been a hectic 2 days. Heading to my grandparents to change the brakes on the car and cut down the inlet tube that empties into my return pump so I can face it away from it. Will see if it works in a few hours

Ok so got the pvc piping cut to fit, its now emptying into the opposite corner of the container.. The bubbles really haven't subsided but imma give it a day or two to see if it smoothes out. I plugged my skimmer in for the first time today.... And realized I don't fully understand how its supposed to work, apparently its an old venturi-style skimmer. I know that the gunk is supposed to collect in the top cylinder, but is the water supposed to flow up into it? Or is the gunk supposed to just work its way up in there? I also ran my small battery of tests today, my trates have jumped up rather quickly, so I did a pwc to atleast reign it in a bit. Unfortunately we over-spent last week and I now don't really have any money for salt until payday, but atleast I have enough for 2-3 more pwc's. Also added a small shelf on the inside left of the stand, placed all my food up on it and freed up a lot of space

Stouty give me a bit to put together a list and ill post it for ya, update wise, my trates have crept up to between 30-40, gonna need to do a decent pwc, have my protein skimmer dialed in and running, have also throttled back on the lighting for now due to cyano... Do need help however, my huma-huma seems to be flicking himself off the rocks repeatedly and swimming from end to end....never seen him do this, is this behavior normal at night?? Please help cuz I'm slightly worried
