Looks like the left ph impeller decided to take a crap on me....took it apart only to find the plastic sleeve coating has been stripped away somehow and now the magnet is rusting away..took the ph out and will be heading to my lfs to buy a replacement impeller soon. Found another guppy fry in the guppy tank..that makes 2 fry and 1 juvenile total I have.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

its down to a yellow, blue, or convict tang...i know obviously the blue is gonna get kinda big but my final stock list is only 5 main fish..2 triggers, a puffer, volitan, and a tang or another trigger...

**EDIT*** i mean a powder blue tang, not a blue hippo

bad news after about 30 minutes of research, ive discovered that i have utterly horrid flowrate in my tank....there was 2 Penguin 1140's, my penguin 400 hob and the return pump.. so heres where im at
2x1140 ph's--300gphx2 =600
emperor 400-400gph---=1000gph+ whatever my return pumps rated at...obviously my flowrate is subpar. since i cant really upgrade my return pump and id like to eventually stop using the hob, i need to upgrade my ph's..seriously upgrade.
i was on aquacave checking out the koralia line because ive seen them in action and absolutely love em
Koralia EVOLUTION 1400 High Flow Power Head by Hydor - AquaCave
i am thinking of going with 2 hydor 1400gph ph's...thats 2800gph alone in powerheads... essentially almost tripling my flowrate if you ignore the hob filter...whats everyones input on this?? i just dont like having the old style magnetic impeller ph's...they are just crappy imo..

Wow... My Humu killed my Niger by picking at him until his skin ripped. Sadly when I noticed it was too late. Now my Humu just occasionally nips at my bursa. It left a wound the first day so now I'm trying to take him back to the LFS.

I'm running two 1400's and its alot of flow. I sometimes keep one off to give the tank a break lol. I also have a 1500 rated return so that might be adding too much flow as well.
Id get them in my opinion.
