need a skimmer?

I have a 26G FO tank with a skimmer that does nothing but make tiny bubbles. I am planning to upgrade to a larger tank and replace my skimmer at that time. Do I need to try to fix my old skimmer or can I run the old tank without one for a month or two? I have a fluval filter and one powerhead running (koralia 1). Thanks!

Just a month or two? You`ll be OK doing weekly PWC`s instead.
