Well I know it keeps the water warmer which could over heat the tank and you'll have to clean it a lot because of the salt

Need help picking fish for a 40 breeder
I was told that the gases get trapped. Plus like an idiot I sat my light right on top of a glass top that I had on mine and it busted and gass and light went into the tank. And yes the light was still pluged in when it fell into the water.
