They are truely starfish. Probly came with ur LR. Those are harmless but u gotta keep their population in check as they multiply quickly. They "bud off" their arms to reproduce so if u see some with 1 or 2 missing arms, don't freak out. That's all i can remember about them. Mayb others know more about these guys. HTH

not completly true it can get stuck in the silicon (where all the joins are in the tank)

And LR and filter media and in anything else that will absorb metal.....
