new 20 gallon suggestions

planning on having 16 pounds of lr and some base rock. this is what I am looking at buying. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...9&TopCatId=393

can i use play sand to make bed deeper? Will critters come with this and is it good to start with? What kind of lights and how much do I need? Please use simple terms cuz I am new at this.

Some play sand is fine not all..... 1 lb per gal is fine, You do not need a real DSB in a 20 a few inches will be fine. Guys in my club went to reefermadness and loved the lr they got...

I have order rock from liveaquaria and liverocks.com
Both are good, but LR.com is superior.
