I'm gunna finish the canapy and lighting then convert the breeder in to a sump with fuge

I see you got a decent bit of room left. Are you gonna be placing the skimmer outside the sump or installing any reactors?

I do got a question I notice on everyone's return pump the always go wet on my 55 I went dry due to heat issues I'm in fl does the wet pumps raise temp enough to justify going dry?

I'm gunna run a reef octopus Diablo xs 160 like I got on my 55 love that thing and a bulkreef supply gfo and carbon reactor... Also thought about a atc instead of a skimmer

Id say in that size system you may see .5 degrees change from the one return pump but they begin adding up when considering powerheads skimmer Uv and anything else. Imo external is the way to go. If I had the room in my stand that's what I would have done. External return, skimmer, and reactors leaving as much room as possible for my fuge

Ya I have probably an inch of room on each side in my stand lol

This time I made extra room my 55 was real tight getting everything in it so this time I figured sump room into the stand

On my 75 I'm using two. Originally it was two Rio 2500s, but one of them had an impeller failure and I replaced it with an Aqueon 3000 I found on clearance. If you are only plumbed for one return, I'd go with as big a pump as you overflow can handle. The Mag Drive line is very reliable, and I've heard good things about Eheim and Quiet Ones as well.

If your think external go with little giant. Internal mag 7 or 9.5 I'm in Florida too I'm running a mag 9.5 temp is around 78 without fans which I might add later.

I have a one inch overflow hears a pic
I have a quietone 4000hh on my 55 great pump should I stay with the same size since my 55 also has a one inch overflow

I would, since you already know that the pump matches the overflow. I run 2 Quiet one 4000's on my 180, this tank has been up for 1 1/2+ years, as an upgrade, with no pump issues whatsoever. Knock on wood :)

Only issue I ever had was breaking the ceramic shaft during cleaning my fault I called the company to buy one they sent me one free as a one time courtesy
