Here is a few shots of a coral propagation tank that I just set up tonight. It is a 20g with around 20lbs of LR, HOB filter, Chaeto, heater, 2 PH's set up to run through pvc and spray out drilled holes to keep the flow sparatic. I will be adding some zoos and leather frags tomorrow hopefully when I get the all clear on the tank parimeters. The tank has been set up with just LR and sand for about a month now. All of the stuff came from my established reef.

Right now I have 110w of Compacts over it and a flood light :p thats right over my chaeto. It keeps the stuff growing like MAD! 8)

Thanks for the comments all. I'll update the pics with the new frags added. I'll be a fragging FOOL now!!

Honestly it is really not anything that you couldnt do. It was very cheap. I already had all the stuff from tank buy outs...LOL...and tank tear downs. All I had to buy was the egg crate and pvc. $10 of what I didnt already have.

Thanks.

I was thinking of setting up a 55gal for the same thing do you think it would be too big? Planning on running 4 VHO on the tank

Hey the more room......the more coral!! :p

By 4vho do you mean 4wpg or 4vho bulbs? If bulbs what are the total watts?

Very nice setup! That's kinda what I invisioned mine looking like except two pvc spray bars and a SCWD to keep it really random.

I use a 20 long for the same thing. After seeing a 33 long and a 40 long, I would like a bigger frag tank :)

Nice shelves!

Thats the system for lights that i would run on the 55gal frag tank when i get it setup. I already have the lights already and am picking up the 55gal tank predrilled for $40 tommorrow. The lights are 4x110 watts for a total of 440 watts. Although i dont go by watts per gallon, it would be 8 watts per gallon...So i would have plenty of light on the frag tank. I was thinking of running a sump on the system also since its already pre-drilled tank. What do you think of just a 10gal sump? I also have 2 extra protein skimmers so dont have to by that either....Will need a return pump though anyone have one?

I would have plumbed it into the main, but there was no way. No room..

Anyway, I have a seaclone 150 skimmer or a prism that I will add on the tank. Which do you think will be best? The 150 is prob way overkill.

Real nice Rev, im very impressed. Im incorporating something similar myself when I do my big in-wall in december. Kudos to you for getting up an aquaculture, the more people do it, the longer this affliction of ours will thrive.
