i just ordered a coralife aqualite single 65 watt thats all i could come up with the money for a lfs had it on clearance pretty cheap so i got it for 45 bucks brand new.. would that be enough light for my 20 gl fowlr

yeah, you dont need to have PCs with a fowlr tank, regular flourescents would have done the job, just will be brighter now , but it will be plenty of light

That should be a good light for your FOWLR. It should support coraline algea growth as long as calcium and alk are okay.

I have the same light on my 26gal bow tank. It started as a fowlr tank. I have plenty of coraline algae growth and added some shrooms and some zoos a couple of months back. All are doing great.
