I just got a new PC 4x65. Now I had just the plain old hoods with the 15w single bulbs on before. How long should I run the new lights at a time so I don't fry the fish? I am assumeing they probally need to get acclimated to this new lighting? It is quite a difference! WOW does it look good. Thanks for your help everyone.

As per suggestions I have seen in the different threads out there, most suggest doing 3 to 4 hours the first day and then increasing by 1/2 hour each day until you get back to the normal 10 or 12 hour cycle...
I put 384 watts in place of 160 watts and did not do that... I got a serious algae outbreak when I did this...I would follow the above rule.
BTW, I don't know if the algae was from the increase in light, or just plain bad water conditions.
