I just finish curing my new live rocks. They were in the dark as they were curing and the corline algae turn really dark purple, almost to black. I was wondering if the algae will get better with lighting and if so how long will it take the algae to become lighter?

The algea should make a comeback. Light will help with this, but so will will keeping Calcium and Alk up a bit. This will encourage growth.
