Currently setting up a 375 gal salt tank. Have already put in 250 lbs of live sand and have 200 lbs of live rock. Needs about 200 more by my estimation. Was wondering if it's alright to have five mini reefs in the tank, I have set them up in each corner and in the middle. Will this be ok? Or is it better for one continuous reef. Haven't seen anyone set one up like this before, I just really like the look. Just wanted some input before the fish start going in.

the best part is the imagination , there is not 1 thing wrong with having 5 mini reefs
with many different corals , I would have thought of that but my 90g just isn't big enough for that I just have 2 corners and a few bridges
can't wait to see how it turns out
this is mine

Can't wait to see this one come together! Is it going to be a reef or FOWLR?

Going to give reef a shot, but I also wanted to be able to have lots of fish. That's why I wanted to do the mini reefs, thought the fish might act similar to real reef systems and stay on their own little reefs

I think that some fish might stake out a territory, but most are just going to cruise around.

That is a monster tank! I still look at my current 240g and think "Wow" sometimes. Had the same thoughts with an old 300g. Bigger would be really cool.

Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Been awhile here are some new pics as she's finally up and running, levels are all great and handling the relatively small bio-load well.ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1409877916.691958.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1409877947.978182.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1409877970.501442.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1409878001.120180.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1409878034.786627.jpg
