Not if your just cycling. It's just fine to leave them off I haven't had my lights on at all.

I thought you said you just started to cycle?mmeaning you shouldn't have fish and especially wouldn't have corals. But if you did get lucky and they were hitchhikers then yes you should leave your light on if you want them.

I think the only corals on the rocks that came as a hitch hiker were 1 zooanthid and a brain coral.

Alright they still may have a very slight chance to survive. They do need and established tank to thrive.
