New skimmer is going crazy, HELP!!!!

My skimmer is 4 days old and started to settle in and was running pretty consistently until I added 50 lbs of LR. About 5 minutes after adding the 1st rock it started producing twice the amount of foam now after adding all of the LR it's making a nutty amount of bubbles/foam. Is this normal?

Tank info (120 gal FOWLR 6th days into cycling)

Personally I don't skim when I cycle. Too much going on. However, your rock is giving off all kinds of decaying organics into the water column and your skimmer is reacting as it should... IMO
