new tank

I wanna start a 60 gallon saltwater reef tank. I look at all these pictures of everyone else's tanks and so I went to the pet shop looking at live rock. All I see is small rocks maybe 10 to 20 dollars a piece that are really small. My question is how do you get all those formations in your tank that are huge pieces? all I see at the pet shop are little rocks. so how do you find those pieces that look like mountains and you can really build up of them? I know things get glued together but I don't see any good live rocks.

Also I need some advice on a what kind of filter to use

I just got 50 base rock from reefcleaners.org for $105 and free shipping. I will need to get some live rock to seed my base rock.

So if o put dead rock on then a piece of live will eventually transfer the organisms onto it. Basically they reproduce and travel to the dead
