So... my wonderful wife bought me a 90gal tank for my birthday 
in March. 48"Lx18"Wx24"H. It has an trapezoid style overflow. I built a custom stand with help from my neighbor (he builds fun centers for a living). I finally picked up 113lbs of LR today and 80lbs of sand (60 caribbean/20 live caribbean). The tank is full of water with the LR and the sand bed. I turned on my external pump (GenX-PCX40) and the flow rate is awesome!
PROBLEM: I've got what sounds like Niagara falls in my living room now! How do I muffle the sound of water pouring into the overflow without restricting the flow rate into my sump dramatically?
