New tank cloudy

I started up a new saltwater tank 5days ago. 50 gal w/live rock ,dry sand,2canister filters,pr skim. Ammonia is now 10 ppm,nitrite .3, nitrates 5 ppm.I started cycling with 2 shrimp.But the water is still cloudy why would that be?

Bacterial bloom from the nutrients in the water column. Make sure the lights are off and run some carbon, it'll clear up.

Yea i have left the lights off will put carbon in the filter thanks for the info
