New tank is a little foggy. Typical?

My newly cycling tank (1 week now) has a slight foggy/milky look to it. Is this due to the high ammonia/nitite levels? Thanks all.

That is quite normal. It could be a small algae bloom and it will discipate at the cycle progresses. You haven't even seen the best stuff like when the diatoms come in. They, too, will burn themselves out, but the tank will look awful for a while.
