eeek the dreaded caribbean tang. Thats the fish that nuked my tank. I love em but I just can't get another one out of principle. But it's an awesome fish, starts out looking exactly like the yellow tang though. My yellow beat him up quite a bit too.

Nope. It was a blue caribean tang. he was sickly when I out him, stupid move on my part. I picked that fish out of all the other tangs too, thougt he was special.

Is it a bad sign if ur sand shifting star isn't in the sand and on the glass???

iono...people are telling these things take food from your hands...it's quite shocking to me, since for the few years i've been in the hobby, most tanks weren't able to sustain them. taking it to the LFS is only letting it die elsewhere. i wonder if you could find a home for it in another established tank that didn't have one....
perhaps someone with a large established sand bed.....

Most guys I know either already have one or have fish that aren't starfish friendly.. The star has grown and I put some food in the turkey baster and target fed it for know. I know it's not an answer. Only person I know with a huge tank is the lfs guy. Has a 1200g... It's his personal tank at the store, doesn't sell anything out of it..
