I would think IF the all is low on the incoming new water, a bigger weekly water change like that would hold the all down in the tank.

Hmmmm.... Good point... I'll check the alk in the water....

oh well theres your problem get the instant ocean reef salt or equivalent. that will have everything that you need/want in it,

yeah, im starting to slowly add corals so its something ive got to start looking after like kio... i like having a fish only too.

I don't measure alk, but if something starts dying I may have to pull out the test kits.

If you keep any corals you need to keep check on both your Alk and calcium.

I checked my water I'm putting in my tank... pH is 8.3, but alk was only 2.0.... Yeah, changing salt today...

Because I wouldn't want to get stung.

Mine has never stung me... Not even close... I added rock, changed rock in the tank, no issues...

K, I need to learn to read.... My alk is good at 4 meq/L.... I provided a explanation... Hopefully you can read it...

Well calcium is still low, but dosed for it... Hopefully this new salt will help.

Anyone order corals from anywhere but liveaquaria with good results?
