I would think IF the all is low on the incoming new water, a bigger weekly water change like that would hold the all down in the tank.

yeah, im starting to slowly add corals so its something ive got to start looking after like kio... i like having a fish only too.

I don't measure alk, but if something starts dying I may have to pull out the test kits.

If you keep any corals you need to keep check on both your Alk and calcium.

I checked my water I'm putting in my tank... pH is 8.3, but alk was only 2.0.... Yeah, changing salt today...

Mine has never stung me... Not even close... I added rock, changed rock in the tank, no issues...
