New tank starting cycle?

So I just got my new 55 up and running. Got the equipment installed and operating, and live sand and base rock installed. Specific gravity reads 1.023. PH is between 7.8 and 8.0. Ammonia is at 0.25, NitrIte is at 0 and NitrAte is at 5.0 according to my API liquid test kit. First off, I didn't think I would see any NitrAtes until AFTER my NitrIte started to rise and fell and that wouldn't happen until after my ammonia dropped. I understand it's a waiting game at this point but I just wanted to make sure I am doing all this correctly. I have plenty of water movement via 2 750gph powerheads. Temperature is right at about 79F.

Did you use tap water or ro to fill your tank ? The reason I ask is tap can have nitrates in it so that might be why you have some.
Feed your Filtration
Give it to Porc Chop he'll eat anything!!!!!
