Here's a FTS of mine. It's hard I see I used the panaroma option on my iPhone. If you check out my thread I listed all pictures there of my corals towards the end of the build. Maybe 1-2 pages back.

Very nice pic. I would love to see pics of others tanks if you wouldn't care to share them. Just seeing the ideas and beauty of others tanks is amazing.

And how long would You estimate for the base rock to be seeded by the live rock?

My 55gallon is the one up right now I decided to go bigger for my tank the other pic is my 140 im resealing and getting rdy to do a diy overflow kit, stand and sump for.

The rock seeds fairly quick. at first when I addes the rock and 6 months I felt like it was still taking forever. My friend traded me a dry piece for a live one to seed his tank and then I could see the difference. Also every so often you can rotate your rocks around it may help.

Both of your tanks are amazing haha I can't wait for mine to look like that. How long have you guys done salt water?

I started with a nano tank about 3 months ago a small 10gallonw and realized it was so hard to maintain and I could never get fish I wanted so I got this tank in October/November and have been building it since. Only a couple months. I'm still a newb despite what it says next to my username lol.

75 percent of my rock was dry rock in the tank yo can see what less than a year has done

Nice video and great tank! I just found the specs for my light....can anyone help me make sense of it and what it means? What is the difference between the white and blue. Will the blue still give light needed for the tank? Any help greatly appreciated. My overall goal is to have a bubble tip anemone eventually.

48” – 60”

• 54 LEDs (1 watt)

• 46 - 10,000K (white)

• 8 – 460 nm (blue)

The marine land is a middle of the road type lite I have one on my reef. Looking back I wish I went better but at that time it was the best I could do. ( my other light fried out when I was laid off) but all my corals are growing. Not good for any sps but my hammers have doubled in size and my nem is huge compared to what he was before this light

Wow that is amazing. I went with the marineland because I wasn't wanting a chiller plus I got it on ebay for 150 bucks which was a steal considering it runs 480 at my LFS! How long did you wait to add your nem and what type is it?
