Kurt,
There is a LFS owner who I totally trust that said the same thing. Prime doesn't remove the nitrite , it just makes it non-toxic to the fish. he said the tank would still cycle the same, so , it just makes since to use it. After all, I'm trying to save "bubbles" the green chroma.

Tank showing .3 nitrite yesterday, will test again tomorrow.

Oh... I totally agree with what you're doing and would probably have done the same thing. I was just mentioning that because that trace of nitrite you're showing might just be a false reading from the residual stuff the Prime has locked up.

Ooooooooo, I did not know that, i don't suppose there is any way to get an accurate reading for nitrites is there?, it's been high for a couple weeks now, will my tests ever show zero?
What is my next move?
