Has anyone used nitromax and its counterpart(cant think of the name)? ive heard good stuff about it but i wanted to consult everyone here before trying it... i guess its cultured bacteria, would there be any downfall to using it? look forward to your reply. thanks :)

If it is anything like Hagen's Cycle, it is total worthless and a waste of money. The only "bacteria in a bottle" that seems to work is Marineland's BIO-Spira. I have used it and personally, and it works great.

You can actually get it from one of our sponsors, The Fish Store. Ask for Bernie.

i dont think its for cycling, its supposed to help fish and the water quality i guess by boosting the good bacteria, but at 40 a bottle and you need 2, but with my tank i would go through it in 2-3 weeks..

Don't buy it. A cycled tank doesn't need help from so called "boosting bacteria products". Just more stuff to throw your hard earned money at.
