i forgot that when i started adding my salt, i turned up my heater to aid in the salt evaporation process. anyways, i got my water to about 1.021 at this temp. and then a day later i turned my heat back to a normal setting. now, the hydrometer reading is at 1.030+. anyways, how should i go about fixing this?

Set the temp to 80*F, add F/W until it reads 1.025. As the water evaorates, the salt stays in the tank, therefore the SG of the water will go up as the water evaporates, when you replace the water add F/W.

If the tank is full and you can not add any more freshwater to the system then take a gal of saltwater out and add a gal of freshwater in its place. This should lower the SG of the tank. You might have to do this process two or three times. Wait a period of time after you add the freshwater before checking your SG to allow the water to mix.
