Orchid Dottyback

Today is a great day I scored two free Orchid Dottybacks. These will be my first fish not by choice but if I don't take them they will probably be destroyed.

Any opinion on this species?
I see some online for $80 so the price is right on these two fish.

Now I'm seeing them for $35 or so......that one site had them for $80 I'd say they are priced high

I like dottybacks. They are usually pretty active in my tank when I have them. Add them at the same time, as they usually don't enjoy the company of each other. How big of a tank?

Might be pushing it. Introduce them at the same time. Long acclimation in the bags so they can get used to seeing each other.

are they a pair? they're nasty fish. I returned mine after it terrorized my entire 75gal

They are paired....the university of maine is giving them to me. So they have been together for a while now.

If they're a pair, then I see very little aggression between the two. Just keep an eye out when you add other tankmates.
