I just finished drilling my 40g breeder and was wondering what type of black paint to use for the background and also do I paint right up to where the holes are? Will the bulkheads still seal properly on top of the paint? Any thoughts are appreciated

Thanks for the input. I just don't want to see any light coming through from around the return bulkhead. The overflow is a glass-holes 700 so that one will be covered anyway.

I like flat latex put on with a smooth roller takes about 6 coats. Martha Stewart makes a paint with glitter in it,its in a little bottle. My wife used it on a 92 corner and it came out nice took two bottles and durable.

Glitter? How's that look?

Make sure you roll it on with a sponge style roller not the traditional squishy kind. I painted all the way up to and around the holes and have not problems, but I also have the bulkheads in backward to get more room.
