PC Lighting

How long do you leave your PC lighting for? Im just curious cause I was having a algea problem so I put in a Poly filter and I only let me lights stay on for about 6-7 hours. And now my problem has cleared up in the past 2 days.

If your system is not a reef then you can get by with less light. Those of use with corals need to try to simulate teh tropical sun light schedule of 10-12 hours on and 12-14 hours off.
