I was looking at tank again and saw two red antennas where the shrimp usually is and I went around to side of tank and there sat the shrimp.
Do shrimp shed their skin? What I found last night was a clear shrimp looking thing and I would have swore it was the peppermint shrimp.

yes they do. That`s why when most people say their crab or shrimp died we always say check for a molt. Glad to hear the good news

Yep, I believe all crustaceans molt. They "out grow" their shells, like reptiles shed their skins.

they do it pretty often too. i have a coral banded shrimp that has molted at about 5 times in the 4 or 5 months that i've had him. it does freak alot of people out at first, including myself, but you'll get used to it. also, the old skin is said to be beneficial to the other critters when they eat it.
