I am battling calcium and alkalinity right now, but I aim for 450 on calc and 8-10 dkh for alkalinity. magensium at about 1300 give or take 50....

Right now my alkalinity is 300 on the API strip. I'm not sure if this is good, but it is top in 'ideal' range on the strip reader. I'm getting a master kit within the next few weeks though, so maybe the readings are different on there?

So the salt adjusts the calcium but how do you adjust the alkalinity and magesium?

salt mix and proper water changes should keep you good until you have a tank of corals. :)

I put crushed coral over the sand, it'll get mixed in once I have some livestock in there. I can't wait to get corals :D

Thanks for the info (Again :D)

I would not worry about PH until your ready to get fish in the tank then add a supplement to buffer it up.
