artur hears surf in the shell
phosfate

first time i bought test for phosfate for my 8 months old tank.Is phosfate very bad for corals My instant ocean kit shows around 0.8-1.0.I think is really high right? If it is what i can do to lower it?Thanks

Yes... that is high - very high. Most folks consider anything over 0.03 ppm something to be concerned about.

From your other thread, I see you're using tap water. That's where you're picking it up from. Flake food and overfeeding will introduce phosphates, but not at the levels you're seeing. Levels that high must be coming from your source water.
