Physical signs during cycle

When Should I start seeing physical signs of the cycle progressing in my tank, and what would they be. It's been cycling since Saturday.

Not much. You have to test your water daily.

There are no physical signs. You have to test to know.

The reason I asked is because I heard that diatoms start showing up at a certain time and other algaes also

Diatoms are just a common occurance in new tanks... not any indication of anything. They can be present in well established tanks
