Picky Skunk Cleaner Shrimp

Has anyone had any problems with cleaner shrimp? Mine has taken to shreding my feather dusters and star polyps. He doesnt eat them just picks them apart.I even tried frozen squid to try to keep him occupied.Otherwise he is well fed and molts regularly.TIA

There could be something on the dusters and polyps that the shrimp is after instead of the the dusters and polyps themselves. That's the only thing I can really think of. Maybe someone else can put in their opinions

We, as a people, know so much more about outer space than we do about our own oceans. This lack of knowledge can very well spell the dangers that lay in wait for us.

The oceans surely would swallow us before a rock comes down to smite the planet of it's life.

What else do you feed the tank and what fish do you have? Could be the squid is too much work and the shrimp has opted for an easier meal. FWIW, when a commonly reef safe animal starts this kind of behavior, they rarely stop even once the problem that may have contributed to it is corrected.

Cheers
Steve
