Plumbing question

In order to connect my overflow box to my sump I used a washer drain hose that has a rubber end and used pvc glue to attach it to the inside of the 1" bulkhead on the overflow. I'm not terribly handy. Can I trust this connection?

I've trusted way shadier setups in my years of redneck reading. Just make sure it doesn't leak.
