Pods in fuge ??

I have often read aquarists suggesting that pods should be grown in a fuge where they are protected from predation and have time to reproduce. How is it that the pods aren't just swept into the display tank with the return water?

46 gal FOWLR
11lb Live Rock - 40lb Live Sand
ProClear Pro 75 - LR rubble & skimmer in sump
AC 300 HOB
AC 402 Powerhead - AC 301 Powerhead

Lot's of'm will be. That's the idea. But you'd do well with rock rubble and macro algaes in the fuge also so they'll have a place to live, hide, and reproduce. Some will be swept into the main, but that's a good thing.

Here's a shot of mine. It's a combination sump and fuge, but you shuld be able to get the idea.

Austinsdad is correct. Think of a tank without a fuge. The pods like to hide under the LR and sand. Some of them will get sucked innto th filter, but for the most part they are ok.
Age is relative, you are only as old as you act....of course, this works in reverse....
