I removed the ugf tonight and had to remove the fish to do it. The puffer puffed up and now that he's back in the tank he can't seem to unpuff all the way. He has a bubble on part of him and it is keeping him afloat. Will he unpuff eventually on his own or what? Very weird and he looks very unhappy about it.

If he puffed up while out of the water he may have used some air instead of water to puff. My guess is it will work out eventually, maybe not - don't know. When I remove my porcupine puffer from the water I use a bowl to keep it submerged - less stress.
Keep us posted on his condition.

Get Deb and or Flo from Finding Nemo.
She unpuffed Bloat quicker than it takes a tank to cycle. Jeff

Repuffed him underwater a couple times and he worked out the air. Pissed off but ultimately better off. Thanks for the advice Mark about the air vs water removal. That's what had happened.
