Powerheads?

I was wondering how many gph should a powerhead push for the volume of water that you have? Right now i have a 55 gal up and running and a 140 which will be running in the near future. Thanks

In my 55 I have 3 power heads, 1400 gph, 550 gph, and 450 gph... They say anywhere from 30 to 50 times an hour turnover, depending on who you talk to. Mine is at 43 times...

Yep 30-50 times volume sps require on the higher end since they dont move on their own
