I don't use a skimmer on my current 29g or my last one either. As long as ypu do water changes weekly you should be fine.
Do you have an issue that you think you need a skimmer for?

No. I dont even have it set up yet, im doing it at christmas but i just want to know exactly what im doing before then. I just think itll help establish the tank? Am i completely wrong lol? Thats ok just tell me if i am.

A skimmer will export organic materials from your tank. In my opinion you only enter skimmer area when you reach 40-50g tanks. If youre going reef with hi tech SPS corals and the such you might wanna consider it later on down the line though.

O im doing a fowlr bcus its my first sw but might add corals waayyyy down the road and might consider it then. Thanks for the help carey!
