Protein skimmer?

I'm tired of messing with protein skimmers and need to just spend the money and get a good one.

Looking at spending around $200
My dt is a 55 with approx 65-70 total gallons. Want something rated at 100 or more

Was looking at bubble magus curve 5
Bm nac 5.5
And reef octopus 4.

Any opinions or other suggestions?

I run a Bubble Magus NAC 3.5 and it has worked very well. Bulk Reef Supply usually has good prices on the Bubble Magus skimmers, especially if you can get it on group buy. Your system is similarly sized to mine.

I have heard really good things about the reef octopus skimmers as well, but haven't had any personal experience with them.

Dont be afraid to go bigger also. I have a 40g dt and 20 sump and i run a NAC6a and it does an awesome job.

I have the octo reef nwb150 its rated for 150 gal and I have it on my 55 gal. Its a really good skimmer for that price range
