Protein Skimmer

I want to start a saltwater tank. I have already gotten a heater, filter and a 40 breeder tank. My question is if I just want a pair of clowns, a bicolor dottyback, and a yellow watchman goby do I need a skimmer. Thanks

It is always best to have one as it will really help with maintenance.

You can wait. Just keep an eye on your nitrates.
