Purigen for a small tank

Hi quick ?, just bought purigen 1 bag fights up to 100 gallon. Just wondering if I need to cut and place in smaller bag and should I take our the carbon when I put this in the tank??

I actually split it into 2 stockings, it wouldn't fit. I put it on the top of the filter media basket.

No problem, that ought to work out just fine. Purigen can be some effective stuff

I don't run my Purigen in a bag at all, but in one of my reactors. I dumped the entire thing, that also treats 100 gal, in for my 55 reef. I love that stuff.
