I have been wanting to grow some coraline algea and I just can't seem to be able to like most people do. I have a 10g and a 29g reef tanks on PC lighting. I was told to get some purple up, but I was wondering if I would need to get some calcium and any other test kits to use that stuff without harming anything or overdosing. Thanks for the help.

Monitor and maintain your CA and ALK levels and PU will not be needed. PU does work but you can do the same thing by keeping your levels correct much cheaper.

I agree with Brenden as You can get your Coraline to grow by maintaining proper Calcium and Alk. I have a lot in my tank and never added a supplement to get it.
